Look down. You can observe Sphagnum moss covered on ground, suggesting the shallow ground water here. Peat soil dominated here is characterized as fibrous organic layers composed of dead plant tissue which is not fully decomposed due to over humidity and nutrient-poor conditions. The peat soil is giant carbon pool and has functioning to purify water quality by soil microbe.
